peep, peep . . . gribbet, gribbet . . . .
The earth is designed as one intertwined and glorious system,
The birds and the bees, the people and trees are part of one soul.
The choices we make, decisions we take have ramifications;
Whatever we do will change the whole.
Each critical check and balance protects the chain of creation,
So even mosquitoes are your amigos - if you're a frog.
Take care of the earth - everybody's hometown!
Take care of the earth - keep the temperature down!
For we are the stewards of God's creation.
There is no escape, we alter and shape the world around us.
But all of us can, if we have a plan, be forces for good.
So what does God ask us, what is our task as part of creation?
A few simple tools, a few simple rules can help us begin:
Consider what's fair, remember to share, and not to be greedy.
Clean up your own mess - don't leave it for me!
Commute on a bike, or make it a hike, you'll find yourself slimmer,
Renewable energy really can come back into style!
Take care of the earth - everybody's hometown!
Take care of the earth - keep the temperature down!
For we are the stewards of God's creation:
Birds and bees and trees and frogs.
Take care of the bees, the birds and the trees,
Especially the frogs. . . .
peep, peep . . . gribbet, gribbet . . . .
