MAY 22nd POTLUCK DINNER WITH MUSICAL ENTERTAINMENT

The youth at Holy Trinity are invited to perform as part of the informal entertainment following the potluck supper on Saturday May 22. This has been put together very informally so far, and there is still time to sign up.

DATE:       Saturday, May 22
TIME:       Dinner starts at 5:30, performance afterwards, maybe 6:45? 7:00?
WHERE:    Holy Trinity fellowship hall
WHAT:      Pot luck dinner followed by informal entertainment by kids from church

WHO CAN PERFORM?
Anybody up through high-school age. You can have an adult accompanist if you are singing or doing an instrumental solo. If you need an accompanist, Nancy will be glad to help out if you provide the music.

IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO PERFORM, please email or give Nancy a sheet of paper with the following information by May 16:
        -- Your name
-- Whether it is a piano solo, duet, song, or whatever
-- the title of the piece
-- the composer of your piece (and if a song, the lyric-writer)
-- if you are performing with someone else, the other person's name and what each of you is doing

PIANISTS SHOULD TRY OUT THE PIANO IN ADVANCE:
We will be using the piano in the sanctuary. I highly recommend that you try playing your piece on it BEFORE the 22nd. The bass tends to be very loud compared to the treble, so you often have to practice bringing out the right hand and softening the left. You can make this a little less problematic by turning up the knob marked "brilliant." The sanctuary will not be available in the hour directly after church on May 9, but should be OK on May 16. Let me know if you would like me to let you in to church at some other time.
